The Tragic Drama of Love and Betrayal

Updated: May 11, 2024

Madhav, the sad actor, was having a special night to raise money for a good cause. They were performing in a play. The actor was playing the character Vasudev; the stage manager was playing the character Michael; Madame Suta was playing the character Neera. The show went really well. The actor did incredible things indeed. When he took Neera away, he held her above his head and ran across the stage. He yelled, made a hissing sound, stomped his feet, and ripped his coat on his chest. When he said he didn't want to fight Michael, he shook and breathed loudly in a way that nobody usually does. The audience clapped really loudly at the theatre. There were many phone calls. Madhav received a shiny container for his cigarettes and a bunch of flowers with pretty ribbons. The women waved their little cloths and encouraged their partners to clap, some cried… But the person who was the most excited and enthusiastic was Leena, she is the daughter of Sam who is the police commissioner. She was sitting in the front row next to her father in the audience; she was very excited and couldn't stop looking at the stage, even during the breaks. Her small hands and feet were shaking, she had tears in her eyes, and her cheeks were becoming more and more pale. No surprise at all - she had never been to the theatre before. "Wow, they're such good actors. Amazing" she told her dad, who is a police commissioner, every time the play ended and the curtain closed. Madhav is really good. If her dad could understand facial expressions, he would have seen pure happiness mixed with a little bit of pain on his daughter's pale face. She was really impressed by the acting, the play, and the environment. When the band started playing during the breaks, she closed her eyes because she was very tired. She called out to her father, who was the police commissioner, during the break and asked him to invite everyone backstage for dinner the next day. He followed her request, spoke highly of their acting skills, and complimented Madame Suta. "You look so beautiful that I wish I could paint you. And with a suggestion, he then asked everyone to join him for dinner. " "He whispered that everyone was included except women. " "I don't want the actresses because I have a daughter. " The following day, the actors had dinner at the police commissioner's house.
